Tokio Marine to Provide ¥200,000 ($1,300) Support for Employees.

Japan’s Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co. will provide ¥200,000 (approximately US $1,300) to employees who have a family member certified as requiring nursing care, the Nikkei reports.

The benefit is designed to help cover the cost of caregiving services and support employees balancing work responsibilities with family care. The insurer estimates that about 10 % of its workforce has a family member needing care.

The initiative underscores the company’s efforts to address an ageing society and labour‑market pressures in Japan, offering additional assistance for employees facing caregiving demands.
