Lockton Re Strengthens Capital Advisory Team with Senior Hires

Lockton Re, the reinsurance division of global broker Lockton, has announced two key senior appointments to bolster its Capital Advisory and Legacy Solutions capabilities.

Darsh Patel has been appointed Head of Transaction Structuring and Reserving Analytics on a global basis, while Jack McGregor will take on the role of Head of Retrospective Reinsurance and Legacy Solutions for North America.

Patel joins from Aon, where he served as a Legacy Actuary within the Aon Capital Advisory team. With more than 20 years of experience, he has held senior actuarial and advisory positions at Riverstone International, BDO, Tradewise Insurance Services, and James, Brennan & Associates, among others.

McGregor brings extensive reinsurance and legacy market expertise from his previous role as Chief P&C Reinsurance Officer at Fortitude Re. He has also held senior roles at AIG, including CEO of Eaglestone Re, and began his career as a trial litigator before becoming counsel to the Kemper Insurance Companies.

Lockton Re confirmed that Patel will be based in London, while McGregor will operate from Chicago, supporting the firm’s expanding North American Casualty Segment.

James Dickerson, Head of Retrospective Reinsurance and Legacy Solutions at Lockton Re, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Darsh and Jack, two highly regarded professionals with over 50 years of combined industry experience. Their expertise significantly strengthens our global claims and reserving analytics functions as well as our executive broking capability.”

Eric Paire, Head of Capital Advisory at Lockton Re, added:

“Darsh and Jack are key additions to our retrospective and legacy team at a critical point in the insurance cycle. Their arrival enhances our capabilities across the US, London market and Europe, helping clients to better manage capital and profitability.”

The appointments mark a strategic expansion of Lockton Re’s Capital Advisory offering as the firm continues to grow its footprint across major global reinsurance hubs.
