The Texas State Office of Risk Management has appointed Sara Hays as the new Executive Director of the agency responsible for administering the state’s workers’ compensation programme for employees.
Ms. Hays, who will officially begin her role on 17th November, brings a wealth of experience to the position. Prior to this appointment, she served as Deputy Director of Operations at the Office of Injured Employee Counsel, a state agency offering assistance to injured workers with their claims.
Before her tenure at the Office of Injured Employee Counsel, Ms. Hays held several key roles, including Chief of Staff for two state representatives and Budget and Policy Adviser to Governor Greg Abbott.
Her broad experience in state government and policy is expected to play a significant role in enhancing the effectiveness of the Texas State Office of Risk Management.
