AXA XL Reinsurance, the P&C and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA, has announced the appointment of Dan McCrosson as Senior Underwriter, US Property Treaty, effective 20 October 2025. McCrosson will join AXA XL Re’s US Property Treaty Reinsurance team based in Stamford, Connecticut.
With over 15 years of industry experience, McCrosson brings extensive expertise in treaty underwriting, particularly in property classes such as Construction and Inland Marine. He joins AXA XL Re from Swiss Re, where he spent nearly five years as Vice President, Senior Treaty Underwriter, managing property treaty business for both national and regional clients.
Before his time at Swiss Re, McCrosson worked for almost 12 years at Hiscox, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President in the Alternative Division.
