Community Bank Bangladesh PLC and Sandhani Life Insurance Company Limited have formalised a strategic bancassurance partnership aimed at delivering comprehensive insurance solutions to clients nationwide. The agreement, signed at Community Bank’s head office in Dhaka, seeks to leverage the bank’s distribution network to expand access to Sandhani Life Insurance products, thereby enhancing financial security for a broader segment of the population.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Kimiwa Saddat, managing director (current charge) of Community Bank, and Nemai Kumar Saha, chief executive officer of Sandhani Life Insurance. Both leaders emphasised the significance of bancassurance in promoting financial literacy, mitigating personal and business risks, and supporting sustainable economic growth in Bangladesh.
“By combining banking services with insurance offerings, we can provide customers with a one-stop financial solution that meets both their savings and protection needs,” said Saddat. Saha added that the initiative will facilitate greater insurance penetration in the country, particularly among underserved communities, while fostering long-term client relationships.
