In Bogura, Meghna Life Insurance PLC’s Islamic Insurance (Takaful) division has handed over a death claim cheque amounting to Tk 30,51,200.
The cheque was formally presented on Sunday (19 April) at a ceremony held at Hotel Castle Saoad in the city. It was issued in favour of the nominee, Ms Akhiyara Khatun, of the late policyholder Mr Majnur Rahman.
The cheque was handed over during a formal event attended by senior officials of the company. The chief guest at the programme was the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Meghna Life Insurance PLC, Mr Mohammad Tareq FCA.
Speaking at the event, Mr Tareq stated that Meghna Life has consistently prioritised customer trust and confidence. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to ensuring financial security for policyholders and their families through timely settlement of insurance claims.
He further noted that Meghna Life Insurance PLC has so far paid a total of Tk 4,428 crore in insurance claims. According to him, this includes significant death claim benefits provided to the families of 18,822 policyholders.
The event was organised by the company’s Bogura Zonal Office. Senior local officials of the organisation, invited guests, and members of the media were also present.
